with Catalogue, at Walter Wickiser Gallery, NY

Those of you familiar with the catalogue of Kremer Pigments will know the range of mineral pigments includes Azurite “Michael Price”. Due to the volume of questions we receive regarding the correct use of many of our products, the New York based British artist will hold a painter’s forum here at the store on the last Friday evening every month. The forum is free of charge. Just sign-up.
It will be held during store hours from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

of Kremer’s products. The focus will be on:

1. Preparing stretched raw linen and linen on panels
a. The correct use of rabbit skin glue.
b. Making your own gesso.
c. Sealing the ground.

2. The difference between modern synthetic pigments (e.g. cobalt blue, French Ultramarine, cadmium red etc.) and natural and mineral pigments (e.g. azurite, lapis lazuli, cinnabar etc.).

3. Working with the regular synthetic pigments in a variety of natural binding mediums, including the distempers, egg tempera, the oils and natural resins.
This includes how to make your own oil paint and put it in a tube.

4. Binding Mediums:
a. Water based natural binding mediums such as hide glue, casein and egg tempera.
b. Oils such as cold pressed, polymerized and co-polmerized oils.
